We highly recommend a trip to the Yorkshire Game and Country Fair during your visit to Whitby Holiday Park this spring. The traditional agricultural show takes place in the picturesque parkland grounds of Scampston Hall and offers an unforgettable day out!
During your visit you can experience a range of country pursuits and sample home grown produce. Browse hundreds of stalls or pitch up at the arena and watch a host of exciting shows and events.
What’s on
If you’re in the mood for some retail therapy there are plenty of exhibitors selling clothes, homeware and gifts. Treat yourself to some artisan produce – stock up on cheese, pickles and all manner of tasty delights to enjoy back at our North Yorkshire holiday park!
Outside of the marquees, you’ll find plenty to keep the whole family entertained. Try your hand at axe throwing, rifle shooting or enter your four-legged friends in one of the dog shows!
Vehicle enthusiasts will love the classic car display and tractor show, where you can get an up-close look at some of the best kept tractors from across the UK. There’s even a purpose-built tractor pulling area, where you can see these work horses at work!
One of our highlights of the Yorkshire Game & Country Fair is the variety of animals you can see. Walk round the various enclosures and see the cows, sheep, pigs, horses and chickens. Look out for the rosettes to see who won best in show!
Events
Pick up an event programme to ensure you don’t miss any of the events taking place over the course of the weekend. There are various arenas dotted throughout the grounds. See falconry displays, daring stunts shows and competitions.
