The line-up for the Whitby Goth Weekend changes from year to year, however, you can always expect a few well-known Gothic / rock bands to perform and a frightfully good time! There are two evenings of live music shows alongside a series of fringe events.

Gothic Whitby

If you are planning to visit Whitby for The Whitby Goth Weekend, we recommend visiting some of Whitby’s other gothic offerings! Since Whitby was one of the inspirations for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, there are plenty of gothic and vampire-inspired attractions in the local area, such as the Dracula Experience, Whitby Abbey, and Dracula’s grave which is believed to be located in St Mary’s Churchyard.

Whitby Abbey

If you’re a fan of historical buildings and Gothic architecture, we highly recommend visiting Whitby Abbey, which is a short walk away from Whitby Holiday Park! Whitby Abbey is an ancient Gothic cathedral, which is not only spectacularly beautiful itself, but also provides guests with a vantage point as it has excellent views over the local coastline.

The Dracula Experience

Alternatively, the vampire enthusiasts amongst you may love The Dracula Experience! The Dracula Experience is a frightfully amusing show and museum, that features live actors as well as many weird and wonderful props! The theme of The Dracula Experience is based heavily around Dracula’s arrival to the UK via Whitby (as mentioned within Bram Stoker’s novel).
