This small museum is packed from the floor to the ceiling full of various artefacts and replicas of 19th-century physic instruments. The delightful owners and husband-and-wife team, Tony and Pat, will perform various informative demonstrations using these exciting artefacts. Such artefacts include ‘The Wimshurst Machine’, ‘The Electric Egg’, ‘The Jacob’s Ladder’ and so much more. One of the most exciting and widely popular displays has to be ‘Dr. Frankenstein’s Laboratory’, which always features plenty of lightning, thunder and sparks!
During intervals between the display, Pat often brings out traditional cakes and tea for guests to enjoy whilst watching the show. As a result of The Museum of Victorian Science's massive popularity, we highly recommend ringing the owners in advance to arrange your visit. Pat and Tony have asked those looking to book a show to ring as far in advance as possible - and that guests please ring up in the evenings. Please note that this museum and show are not suitable for younger children and the owners have enforced a strictly 16+ audience rule.
If you’re planning on visiting The Museum of Victorian Science whilst staying at our Whitby Holiday Park, then the journey is fairly simple. The Museum of Victorian Science is roughly a twenty-two-minute drive away from our holiday park via the A171.
