Back in 2008, a husband-and-wife team bought the once-derelict property of Midge Hall, hoping to live off-grid in the beautiful setting of North Yorkshire. Nowadays, this ambitious family run a hugely popular café serving homemade meals, coffees, teas, and freshly baked goods, such as pastries and cakes. At The Falling Foss Tea Garden, you can enjoy a bite to eat beside a beautiful waterfall and simply enjoy the nature around you.
Later in the season when the days begin to grow a little colder, the team behind Falling Foss Tea Garden sometimes provide guests with free marshmallows to toast as well as a delightful firepit to huddle around. There are also plenty of fun-filled activities to keep the children entertained whilst visiting this charming tea garden. These activities include, colouring pencils and activity sheets, nature trails, games, and natural play areas to discover in the surrounding trees.
The May Beck and Falling Foss walk is a truly magical circular route through the forest, which conveniently passes by The Falling Foss Tea Garden. This walk is perfect for all levels of walker, including families - there are plenty of shallow brooks to splash around in along the way.
The journey to The Falling Foss Tea Garden is an easy drive via the A171 from our holiday park in Whitby. Please note that The Falling Foss Tea Garden is only open April-September.
